TRW League - Round 3

Raptors took on the Whitchwarriors in the 3rd round of the Touch Rugby Wales at Hailey Park on 6th June.

The Warriors went 1-0 up early on, to which the Raptors responded with a score from Emily Baird to draw one all. The game continued in this fashion with scores from Katie O’Neill, another from Baird, and Andy Bloom to end the first half 4 all.

In the start of second half the Raptors poor defence allowed the Warriors to put 4 scores on the Raptors taking it to 8-4. In true form, the Raptors did not let their heads drop, and instead defended like they knew they could, keeping the Warriors out.

The Raptors drove hard and utilised their yards to create scores for Bloom, Simon Gosling, and 2 for Richard House. The final score came from Paul Betts in the last few seconds of the match for the Raptors to win 9-8.
