The Millers entertain league leaders and champions-elect Grantham Town tomorrow evening in what is sure to be a cracking encounter.

When the game was originally scheduled, both sides were neck and neck at the top of the table, with Carlton ahead on goal difference but Grantham having two games in hand.

Since then of course the Gingerbreads have been relentless in their pursuit of the championship and the best the Millers can hope for is to hold them up for a while longer.

Of course, Carlton too will be desperate for the points as they look to secure one of the play off positions, so it should make for an exciting game at Stoke Lane. Added to that is the fact that former Carlton Town player of the year Martin Ball and centre-half-come-goalkeeper Grant Brindley are likely to feature for the visitors.

When the sides met at the Meres in October the Gingerbreads ran out 4-2 winners despite Terry Hawkridge scoring a contender for goal of the season.

They also took four points off Carlton last season, winning 1-0 in Lincolnshire and drawing 2-2 here. The report from that latter game can be found here.

Carlton's full record against Grantham is as follows:

2011-12 NPL1S 2-4(a)
2010-11 NPL1S 2-2(h) 0-1(a)

It promises to be an exciting evening, so get down to the Bill and give your support to Les's men.
