Carlton Town made it three games undefeated with a 1-1 draw at Stamford tonight.

Aaron Hooton's opened the scoring on 34 minutes when he converted from the spot after he had been dragged to the floor by Chris Salt.

But Stamford equalised nine minutes into the second half when Grant Ryan headed home at the back post.

Carlton played well, in the second half in particular, on a surface that was tricky due to the icy weather, and on another night might have claimed all three points.

As it is, Wayne Scott's side move out of the relegation positions on goal difference. They are next in action on Saturday away at Belper Town.

A report from the Stamford game (and last Saturday's Northwich Victoria game) should be on site tomorrow night.
