A first half Darren Chadwick penalty saw Leek Town win 1-0 at Carlton Town this afternoon.

Chadwick converted on 28 minutes after Kevin Lusamba fouled Rob Stevenson in a first half largely controlled by the visitors.

Carlton improved after the break and William Mellors-Blair and Danny Gordon both hit the woodwork, while at the other end Sam Grimshaw fired against the crossbar.

The Millers were unable to fashion an equaliser and remain 19th in the table with 28 points from 29 games.

They are next in action on Wednesday evening, at home to Teversal in the semi-final of the Notts Senior Cup.

A full report will be on site tomorrow.
