It was groundhog day as Carlton Town lost narrowly again today, this time 2-1 at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The Millers had chances to score in the first half when Aaron Hooton put one effort over the bar and drew a superb save from David Reay with another header.

Steels went ahead against the run of play on 41 minutes when Rory Coleman converted a penalty after an Eddie Schoenecker foul and Brodie Litchfield wrapped it up with five minutes left, slotting home from close range.

Substitute Jordan Wilson netted in stoppage time but it wasn't enough as Carlton lost by a single goal for the ninth time this season.

The Millers drop to 15th in the table with 20 points from 16 games. They are next in action in two weeks' time when they entertain Chasetown at Stoke Lane.

A full report will be on site shortly.
