Matthew Cotton had given Lincoln the lead against the run of play on 27 minutes when he ran though some non-existent marking to round Jaclk Steggles and slot home.

The Millers levelled six minutes later with a stunner from Aaron Opoku, who picked up a ball on the edge of the area, turned and rifled home into the corner of the net.

Carlton passed up a number of chances to take the lead before Oliver Clarke headed home the winner early in the second half from a Connor Bartle cross.

The Millers could and probably should have had more goals but were well worth their win.

They return to action on Saturday with the long trip north to Morpeth Town.
