Carlton Town return to Evo-Stik action on Saturday when they entertain Stocksbridge Park Steels at the Bill Stokeld stadium.

The Millers will be keen to avenge the 3-2 defeat at Bracken Moor in September, a result which left Carlton bottom of the table with just one point from their opening five fixtures.

The Millers have improved since then, but have gone out of the FA Trophy and Doodson Sports Cup in the last week and so will be keen to get back to winning ways.

Steels find themselves 17th in the table, one place and one point behind Carlton after a similar struggles at the start of a campaign that they would have started with hopes of promotion.

They too went out of the Doodson Sports Cup in midweek and picked up a draw against Coalville in their last league outing.

Carlton's record against Stocksbridge is dismal, with two draws and four defeats in six meetings, including a play-off semi-final in 2009-10. Both matches at Stoke Lane have ended in 2-0 wins for the Yorkshiremen, so Saturday would be a nice time to change that.

The full record is in the archive results below.

Les's team would appreciate support from all those who can get to Stoke Lane. If you can't make it, there will be regular updates on @CarltonFans twitter.
