Cameron Ackroyd has been appointed Carmel's 3rd XI captain for the 2019 season following the club's Annual General Meeting.
Ackroyd is promoted from vice-captain following Alun Davies' decision to step down.
He will receive support from Nick Hughes, who will fulfil the role of 3rd XI vice-skipper.
Carmel chairman Andrew Abraham said: "Alun's boots were sizable ones to fill and despite his relative inexperience Cameron is the ideal candidate to do so.
"He has a 'can do' attitude, excellent organisational skills and understands the need to blood young players.
"I'm confident Cameron's cricketing knowledge, tactical acumen and leadership qualities will develop as he grows into the role."
