Former player, umpire and chairman returns to role

Barrie Davies has been named as the Carmel's honorary president for the next two years.

Mr Davies has served the club with distinction in numerous capacities down the years including most notably as a player, umpire and chairman.

The club's Senior Management Committee felt that given his regular support and visible presence at both senior and junior matches it was only fitting he returned to the role for a second stint.

He replaces former club captain Tom Woodward, who was club president in 2015 and 2016.
