Update on proposed new net facility

Planning permission has been granted for Carmel's new proposed new facility.

Club chairman Andrew Abraham said it was an important milestone in the ongoing process to improve the training facilities at Pen-y-Gelli.

"This is a huge step forward for the club," he said. "It allows us to progress to the next stage with the ECB and Cricket Wales with regards to our application.

"However, we are still some way short of our fundraising target for the nets and it is essential that everyone at the club plays their part over the coming months to help us reach that goal".

Abraham also expressed his gratitude, on behalf of all Carmel members, to Alun Davies and Dafydd Bailey "who have guided the club through the planning process efficiently and diligently".
