White tons up but Conwy triumph
Four-wicket defeat for Carmel in runfest
Nick White cracked his second century of the season but Carmel's First XI suffered defeat in a high-scoring match against Conwy.
Aussie left-hander White led the way with the bat as he hit 15 fours and two sixes on his was to an unbeaten 126.
He received support from Barry Mcgauty (19), Gwion Dafydd (13), Alec Davies (50), Oliver Saynor (26) and Ryan Roberts (15).
White's knock took his tally to 275 runs in five NWCL Division One innings as Carmel posted an imposing 296-6.
However, Carmel's bowling attack had an afternoon to forget as Conwy pulled off a remarkable run chase to seal victory with 10 balls to spare.
Skipper Mcgauty (3-52) finished the pick of the attack but it was largely a chastening day in the field.
Nick Hughes (1-35), White (1-65), and Saynor (1-37) all picked up one wicket apiece.
