The scheduled game between our 2nds/vets/social XV against Clitheroe 3rds is off today - Clitheroe had other teams to fulfill and gave us plenty of notice during the week. Myself and Martin Powell from the RFU have tried plenty other teams to try and establish a fixture for the 20 man squad eagerly waiting a game - Upper Eden/Vale of Lune/Preston Grasshoppers/Skipton/Furness/Bury/Eagle/Stockport/Carlisle/Penrith/Colne/Kirkby Lonsdale/Garstang were all tried plus other clubs but all to no avail - last night the decision was made to text all players and confirm no game.
We will try again in the New Year so keep those boots dusted - all support is welcome for the 1st XV game with Clitheroe today - kick off is 215pm.
