Excellent night

Saturday saw the end of season dinner - held in the clubhouse and nearly 50 were in attendance including players, supporters, committee members and guests.
Following the superb buffet - on came the main award of the evening - The Wooden Spoon - 7 nominations were given but the winner was Nathan OConnor - a worthy recipient.
Speeches were made by club Chairman Ernie Keates and skipper Shane Weed.
Ernie thanked all the players and committee for their efforts during the season and hoped that all would continue next season.
Shane praised everybody involved in the club - he thanked June Barton for the laundry and club shop, he thanked his vice captain Dan Blenkharn (who was still awake) and all his players for the season - theres been a few - praise was given to all the Uni Lads who donned the green and black shirt during the season. Kevan Holden was congratulated on his coaching work during the season. Special thanks went to all the club sponsors.
