Title decider/Andrew Crowe Memorial Shield

This weekend sees the biggest game of the season in Division 5 North when we entertain Vale of Lune 4ths in a winner takes all title decider. Both sides have hit some decent form recently so an entertaining but tense game is expected. We have played each other twice this season with the Vale winning the cup encounter by a point but Carnforth gaining revenge with victory at Powderhouse Lane in the league by 36 - 7.
As agreed with Vale skipper Paul Scott back in November - this game will also be played for the prestigious Andrew Crowe Memorial Shield. Andrew was a former colt at the Vale before enjoying his senior rugby at Carnforth - the Vale have had a stranglehold on the Shield for a few years now so Carnforth will be looking to gain a league and cup double in front of what should be a decent crowd.
Sean McGlue is the referee and we welcome Sean, Paul and the travelling Vale support to the clubhouse afterwards as well as members of the Raging Bull committee. Kick off is at 3pm - the turnstiles will be opened at 2pm in anticipation of a large crowd.
