Saturday saw us return to the field after a two week lay off - we hosted a Thornton side totally different from the squad we faced earlier in the season !!!!. Carnforth played within the league rules by lending players and a 13 try victory was claimed. Mathew Short led the way with 31 points - 3 tries and 8 conversions, Nathan OConnor (2), Tomas (2), Phil Metcalfe, Dave Hones and Sam Tomlinson one each plus 2 from from debutant Stephen Wilkinson and another debutant Ben Housson scored also.
Thornton pitched in with two excellent tries, they never gave up and are a credit to their club for travelling.
Thornton - we do apologise to you for our clubhouse being 5 minutes drive from our pitch - we were hoping you would attend the clubhouse for the after match teas, free drink and the 6 Nations game. Some clubs have clubhouses away from the ground and its difficult to get lads back. We wish you well for the remainder of the season.
