An excellent victory over at Bolton secured promotion to 4 North - monsoon conditions did not deter both sides from some excellent running rugby.
Carnforth travelled with 17 to face a strong Bolton squad assembled with 22 players on hand.
Some superb rugby saw Carnforth gain a 49 - 5 victory with 9 tries (only 2 conversions) - Jason Short led the way with an excellent hat-trick in a man of the match performance, Jack Edmondson and Mathew Short scored two apiece with Nick Hamer and Joe Harrison one each.
With the Vale 4ths also winning - this sets up a league title decider at Kellet Road this weekend (4th April) - this will also double up as the Andrew Crowe Memorial Shield.
