Saturday saw a great day for running rugby in great conditions - however it was the visitors from Chorley who came with victory with the last play of an entertaining game. Carnforth got into the lead on several occasions but Chorley would not give up and their rewards came with a last gasp try to seal the win 42 - 39.
Tries were scored by Sam Tomlinson, Steve Wilkinson, Kevin Hardy, Mathew Short, Jack Edmondson, Sam Edmondson and a collectors item from Shaun Hodgson. Mathew Short added two conversions.
Thanks to the Chorley squad and support for their time in the clubhouse and to Mr Jeff Gould for officiating the game - not an easy job at this level.
