Match Preview

This weekend sees a return to the Shield competition as we entertain Liverpool Collegiate 3rds in the third round. The Shield comp opens up in the third round for the whole of division 4s - North/West/South/East. We get to pit our wits against an unknown team to Carnforth - the Liverpool outfit are going well in 4 West and are just outside the promotion slots. Their results in the league show some high scoring games and they have notched up some excellent victories - in the Shield they have been drawn away every round so travelling does not seem a problem to them. We welcome the Liverpool Collegiate players, officials and travelling support to Kellet Road and back to the clubhouse afterwards.
Carnforth - the squad of 20 has been selected around those that have paid their annual subs - all players will be used during the game. The Calcutta Cup match will be on in the clubhouse afterwards.
Shaun McGlue will be in charge of the game and we welcome Shaun back to the clubhouse afterwards.
