Carniny played on the 3G at the Showgrounds against Cliftonville and it proved to be a good call as Carniny got off too a perfect start. Adam Foster opened the scoring when new signing Seaan Elliott laid the ball back for him to slot home early on with Jordan Stewart adding a quick second. Elliott got his first of 3 in the first half with a delicate chip from just inside the box on 18 min and Stewart got his second of the first half with Elliott getting his hatrick before the half time whistle.

Carniny made a few changes at half time and added three more goals with Jordan Stewart getting his hat trick and Seaan Elliott getting his 4th with David Leetch completing the scoring for Carniny's 9th to finish off a very strong performance form the Carniny boys.
