There were only four teams in action last weekend with the Under 11 Youths racking up a 10 - 2 win over Carryduff in the Lisburn League. The Under 12s got some 11 a side experience winning 8-4 over Barn Utd. The Under 11 Amateurs lost out to Bertie Peacock whilst the Under 15s lost out to their league leaders, St Oliver Plunkett’s.

The club’s two Under10 teams took a break from their domestic league to travel to Scotland where they were the guests of Glasgow Rangers, with a stadium tour and playing games against some of the Academy sides at Murray park.

Foyle Cup Opportunities

Carniny Amateur & Youth FC under 17s will from Monday 20th July to 24th July, 2015 inclusive be taking part in the prestigious Foyle Cup youth tournament up in the North West.

The competition is out of season and the club will be running trials at the end of this season for anyone who thinks they may be up to the standard of playing in the tournament. Prospective players they will be looking for are those born in 1998/1999 and anyone interested should contact Ian on 07721596775 or Billy on 07850669666 sooner rather than later. The squad will be resident in the North West during the tournament in a well known local hotel and will take part in other activities during the week. This same team played in last year’s tournament and if this year’s tournament is as good as last years then demand will be high for places.

Carniny have always been great supporters of the Foyle Cup and the 17s will be joined by the 11s and 13s at this year’s competition.
