With no small side games teams in action this weekend the focus was on the club’s 11 a side teams. It turned out a good Saturday with the Under 14s running out 5-1 winners over Willowbank, the Under 15s glad to get back to league action after a long break winning 4-2 against North Belfast Utd and the U16s showing great determination to come back from two goals down to also win their game 4-2 against Greenisland, moving themselves up to second spot in their league. All these games were in the South Belfast Youth League. At the Senior end of things the BSML team ran out 3-1 winners over Carniny Rangers and the Dev afternoon team drew with 68th Newtownabbey, good enough to see them run out 6-3 winners on aggregate in their Linda Welshman Cup tie.

The club also took delivery of kit sponsored by the Adair Arms Hotel this week. The club would like to thank the local hotel for their continued sponsorship of the club which is a lifeline to local grassroots clubs.

FDC RESUMES on FEBRUARY 2nd

The club’s popular Football Development Centre resumes in February with its usual slot on Saturday mornings, 11-12 noon at St Louis Grammar School. The centre caters for boys and girls born 2014, 2013 and 2012. Enrolment forms are available NOW on the club’s Facebook page and the club website www.carninyyouthfc.co.uk.
