WEEKEND ROUND UP SAT 4TH FEB

WEEKEND ROUND UP SAT 4TH FEB image

The weather took its toll on three games for Carniny last Saturday but four teams did manage to get their fixtures fulfilled.

It was more a day for the minor teams at the club in a weekend that was blighted by bad weather. The under 10’s won their George Best cup game against Dromore 3-0 at the Co Down venue whilst the 11’s also won in the league 6-2 against Banbridge in the market gardening County of Ulster.

The 14’s suffered a disappointing defeat against Warrenpoint at Mallusk going down 2-0 considering they have been playing so well as of late. All the rest of the clubs teams fixtures were postponed due to inclement weather other than the clubs senior ‘second’ string who put First Division Ballyclare Comrades Reserves out of the Canada Trophy.

Not a bad weekend for the Ballymena ‘reds’ who will be hoping for better weather this weekend for a full complement of fixtures.
