Carniny were dealt a cruel blow when they were denied a deserved victory after going into a 3-1 lead the game was abandoned through no fault of their own when the referee went down injured. Adam Mooney had been in fine form scoring all his sides goals. Carniny had started at a very fast pace and took the lead after 10 minutes when Kundy found Mooney on the left and he fired home. The lead was short lived and Star equalised after five minutes but the pace of Mooney and Scullion on the wings was causing the visitors many problems whilst Kundy and Dubyna in midfield were dominant. Two goals for the home side around the half hour mark put them in a comfortable position both from Mooney whilst Scullion and Miechurski also went close.
When the referee was unable to come out for the second period the result on the game will be decided by the league committee as to where the points will go.
