Carniny got off to a great start in this game on what was a wet and heavy pitch. They were the first to break the deadlock after some good passing and movement were rewarded with a goal from Zak McGall after latching onto a super cross from the right hand side from Kane Carley. Craig McQuillan and Tyler Boyd played really well as a defensive pairing keeping composure and playing out from the back for Carniny to pile the pressure on the opposition and with a good pass from Ollie Stinson in midfield for Scott Young to poke the ball in the back of Dungoyne net. Dungoyne managed to pull a goal back in the first half with a deflected goal from a corner.
Unfortunately this gave Dungoyne a lift and with the equaliser coming early in the second half and two late goals from defensive errors the home team went on to win the game.
