Moyola started the better and passed the ball round the Carniny midfield of James Andrews and Tom Duffin, who both despite working hard found themselves on the back foot for a lot of the time. The defence of Jamie Stevenson and Odhran Doherty thwarted many attacks with the latter standing out with his tough tackling and good use of the ball. Moyola took the lead with a fine move and could have added to their lead but for Will Neill in net who made a number of fine saves.
The second half started much better for Carniny and they began to dictate play. Kaan Avci found some good space out the left and he and Zac McNeill worked well together causing the Moyola defence some concern. Carniny were rewarded for their pressure when Mattias Beatty cut in from the left hand side and squeezed the ball in at the near post. From then on it was end to end stuff with both teams pushing for the win. Carniny got into some good positions but maybe held onto the ball when shooting was the better option whilst Moyola always looked strong on the counter attack and but for some fine tracking back by James Andrews on a couple of occasions could have snatched the winner. A very much improved second half performance from Carniny and a draw was probably the fairest result.
