Alive with great taste! In 2005, despite very low footfall and a reputation as a business graveyard, Robert Craig took on the daunting challenge of puting a large destination coffee house and eatery at the top of High Street in Bangor.

Jumpin Java Kitchen was born out of a passion for excellence and affordability, in both great coffee and food. JJK's creativity and pioneering spirit brought life and a steady stream of new customers to Upper High Street and, along with a few other established businesses, set in place the foundations for others to follow and join the vision of a vibrant, buzzing High Street we know Bangor deserves.

Five years on Jumpin Java Kitchen’s own vision, has so far been achieved, largely as a result of the hard work of JJK’s amazing friendly and warm staff and the uncompromising delivery of great food and great coffee to its loyal, local customers and the many who journey from Belfast and even further afield.

Jumpin Java Kitchen has become a hub of the local community, seen not just as a business, but as a service to the neighborhood. JJK is proud to have welcomed and supported various church groups, youth and children’s groups and charities and is always keen to see if we can help.
