Next week the excitement and build up towards Magic Weekend will begin. Starting proceedings will be a 10 team Touch Rugby Tournament at the home of Newcastle United and host stadium for Magic Weekend, St James Park.
Having dropped their membership to England Touch, and renewing only their Play Touch Rugby League licence, this will be the first hit out of the season for the squad and is eagerly anticipated.
Crusaders will be first up on Monday night with a kick off at 5pm against Northern Rail, followed by games against, Sintons Law, Bealim House and MMG Sports.
At stake for the winners is a chance to play against Yorkshire Thorns, who won the Coast to Coast series last year, on Magic Saturday. What a fantastic experience that would be.
Crusaders Touch takes place on a Friday evening at 6:30pm at Robertson Rd Sports Pitches and is open to male and female players of 14 and above.
