Long serving member of CWB and former Hong Kong squad flanker takes control of the Contenders

The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Kelvin Yip, one of the Club’s longest-serving members, as the Head Coach of the Contenders squad for the 2014/15 season.

Kelvin was previously part of the Hong Kong National XV's Squad with teammate Mark Loynd and participated in the Rugby World Cup Qualifiers in 2003. Known for his reliable tackling and breakaway skills, the versatile Flanker was also a member of the Hong Kong Dragons, the equivalent of the New Zealand Maori’s in Hong Kong, prior to its dissolution, as well as the 13th Asian Games Hong Kong Squad that played in Bangkok, Thailand in 1998 alongside Causeway Bay teammates Roman Law, Paul Chung, Peter Choy and Zanio Yong. Kelvin was also part of the Rams team that achieved promotion to top flight Rugby (now the Premiership).
