Carterton Vs Clanfield......

Mark Moss speaking ahead of this Saturdays derby game at home to Clanfield.......
For us the week is a normal one, you could argue that the game will be overhyped because it's a derby but in reality you only get 3 points for winning, so it's another normal week. For the people around the game they will talk and make it a big thing but for us it's just about winning and moving on.

On the ex Clanfield players.....
Maybe the game will be slightly special for them in the circumstances but they all know what's expected of them on the day and they are all intelligent enough people to know the dangers of being too hyped up for any game. So far they have all proved themselves that they are ready to fight every week and this week will be no different. You must remember as well that Clanfield have a couple of ex Carterton players in their team so they will be looking to prove a point also.

On making up for last season....
It's quite simple really, this time last year we didn't have the team capable to compete with the strong teams in the league and were taught a harsh lesson twice in a matter of weeks. This year things are different, we not only have players capable to win games but we also have the togetherness and team spirit to do it.

On the fitness of key players.....
We aren't expecting much to change from last weeks team, Elharram will probably not make the game and neither will Styles but apart from that we should have basically the same squad available to us.

Finally.....
We are expecting another difficult game, you know what to expect when you play Clanfield. They are well organised, experienced and have players that can hurt you going forwards so it'l be really tough. We have won two games so far without being at our best so Saturday we need to take the hand break off and perform fully to win the game.
