The Work Goes On!

Well its a Football "Free" Weekend for Carterton Football Club as we were due to play Tuffley in the league today!

But due to their success in the FA Vase they are playing their second round game in Plymouth today!

And everyone at Carterton wishes them the best of luck as they try to progress in the Competition!

But just because we dont have a game at Kilkenny Lane it doesnt mean that the work stops!

The pitch has seen a lot of Action over the past month and to keep it in tip top condition for the players, maintainance is ongoing when the weather allows!

So this weekend I will be using our Quadraplay to keep the pitch breathing and in a level and and good condition for Carterton Town Vets Cup match on Wednesday evening!

The machinery we have at the club is thanks to Don Richens/Glyn Yates who have worked tirelessly over the years to get the best machines for the Groundsmans to use!

I must also thank our Chairman Tom Amer for adding to the machinery with a Tripple mower and also for finding the funds to buy seed and fertiliser to help make my job easier!
