As many with have heard and read this week, we unfortunately have to announce that first team manager Ciprian Pintille resigned last Saturday following 5 months at the club.
Ciprian was appointed first team manager at the end of the 2014/2015 season as a replacement for Adam Cowling who decided to step down after 4 years in charge. Despite his passion, commitment and clear coaching pedigree, Chalgrove first team struggled to find a winning formula (which could be put down to any number of reasons) and unfortunately Cipri felt it was time to step down.
There is no doubt that Cipri will go on to have great success as a football coach and we wish him every success in the future. We also thank him for the effort and work he put in during his time at Chalgrove FC where his sole focus was the improvement and forward direction of the club. It's simply unfortunate things did not work out and sometimes this is the way things go.
With Cipri stepping down, we are pleased to announce that Nick Skiller and Simon Godfrey will become joint first team managers with immediate effect and will take charge for the first time in the Senior Cup fixture at home to Eynsham tomorrow, Saturday 17th October.
Neither are new to management and both are hugely passionate about the success of the club and will be working incredibly hard to get Chalgrove back to winning ways and move up the table.
We're sure all players will support Nick & Simon as they step in the role and as a club we'll work together to ensure Chalgrove continue to make strides forward following a very successful first four years as a senior club.
