News from the Cavaliers & a new soccer school set up with Chalgrove Primary School

2 months ago By Emma Parfitt

New kit & new goals! Thank you to our sponsors Performalytics & R K Air. New Soccer school! Thank you to The Ravenscroft Sports academy.

The Chalgrove Cavaliers committee and all volunteers involved work tirelessly to provide youth football for girls and boys in our local community. We have adopted a football development and fun philosophy, as we aim to encourage a love of the sport along with respect, unity and great work ethic.

All involved with the club provide their time for free with a strong belief in the importance of facilitating team sport in our community. We are delighted to report we have been incredibly moved by the recent generosity of local businesses.

Chalgrove U13 Girls play each week in the Oxford Mail Girls League. They are a team with strong commitment to football development, team unity and always demonstrate outstanding sportswomanship. With a fantastically supportive and positive group of parents and supporters, the team were immensely proud to receive the Oxford Mail Girls League Fair Play Award 2017/2018. This award was based on feedback from other teams and the OMGL Committee. Chalgrove were chosen from more than 150 teams.
In September, the girls were absolutely thrilled to receive a new ladies football kit through generous Performalytics sponsorship. Performalytics is an analytics business that supports small - medium sized growing independent businesses with all their data needs.
James Dickens – Performalytics Managing Director said, “We wanted to sponsor the kit as the club plays a pivotal role in the community, offering the girls a massive opportunity to build their personal development skills and confidence through team sports. Their approach to the games also reflects our values as a business, keep learning, be proud and honest and most importantly have fun. So much work goes into running the teams to the standard you guys are that we just wanted to support this where we can”.

In October, the Cavaliers Committee, with the support of the Parish Council, were delighted to receive desperately needed brand new goals for youth football. This was made possible by hugely generous support from R K Air, an airport utilities specialist based in West Drayton. R K Air were keen to support a good cause. They chose to support Chalgrove Cavaliers due to their recent success and achievements and also because the club support a wider local community.
Support such as the above really does make a difference to our local clubs and organisations and young people involved with Cavaliers will benefit from such kindness.
