An unusual start to our match as our umpire was later due to missed communications about the change of venue the day before (don' worry a fine went Miss Ibbotson's way and DOTD), however Kaye stepped in to get the match on it's way.
The ladies battled really hard, especially in the first half, having numerous attempts on goal and endless short corners given their way. It was looking like we could be numerous goals up, but somehow just couldn't get past Leopold's keeper.
Defenders Beki, Claire (MOTM), and Anne and Francesca worked really well together holding strong at the back and the forwards were getting themselves in right places but we fell behind before half time. Louise seemed to like being on the floor more and on one occasion defended a shot whilst down!
The second half again produced numerous opportunities to score. Gillott was in command with Lyndsey through the mid-field, and albeit there were some tired legs and that same challenge and frustration of getting past Leopold's keeper, the girls fought on but finished with a loss 3-0 . Wounded but not defeated and positive actions taken for next week's challenge. Alison carried on running doing a dash to Jessops to assist her daughter through labour!
