Wells won the toss and put Chard in on a wet, slow pitch.

Danny Grabham was soon caught for 5 and Nathan Johnson followed fairly quickly which brought Owen Richardson to the crease in an excellent partnership with Sam Reynolds which took the score onto 42 when Owen had to 'retire' having batted particularly well as he hit 30 of those runs.

Sam was then soon out as more wickets fell with Tim Pedlar hitting 10 runs, Tom Baker just 2 and James Headington getting 9 runs.

At the end of the allotted overs Luke Young was not out on 8 while Niall remained undefeated on 1 as Chard reached 97 for the loss of 8 wickets.

In reply Wells got off to the poorest start possible losing 3 wickets in Nathan's very first over from which they never recovered as some further tight bowling and excellent fielding - led by Nathan who excelled in the field as well as taking those early wickets - restricted the scoring opportunities.

Wells were eventually bowled out for 47 runs giving Chard a comprehensive win.
