Chard Town will be seeking revenge tonight (Wednesday) when they entertain Calne Town in the Les Phillips Cup at Zembard Lane KO 7.30pm.
The Saturday before last Calne beat Chard 1-0 on their own ground in a tight league encounter.
Jamie Manley was very pleased with the character of his side last Saturday, bouncing back from the Calne defeat to beat a physically strong Keynsham side.
He expects another tough game tonight, as Calne are a good side, but he intends to utilise his squad, to keep everybody on their toes.
This coming Saturday, 2nd placed Chard visit bottom of the table Bristol Telephones in the 1st Division of the Toolstation Western League KO 3pm. The Bristol side have won just one of their 12 league games to date, and have also had a point deducted. It will be a new experience for the manager, however he is taking nothing lightly, as he knows the home side, smarting from recent defeats, will be looking to settle a few wrongs.
Chard reserves are at home to Heavitree United second string on Saturday in the 1st Division of the Macron Devon & Exeter league and it is to be noted that the KO is still 3pm.
