Chard Town will be seeking their 4th successive win on Saturday (22nd Sep) when Portishead visit Zembard Lane in the 1st Division of the Toolstation Western League KO 3pm.
Although Portishead sit second from bottom in the 20 team strong league, their performances have improved considerably over recent weeks, culminating in a 3-2 home victory over Wincanton last Saturday.
Table topping Chard hope to have a full squad to chose from against Portishead, but manager Jamie Manley knows they will need to be at their best to continue their encouraging start to the season.
Meanwhile, Chard reserves break new ground on Saturday, when they travel to Bampton in the 1st Division of the Macron Devon & Exeter League. KO 3pm.
