Wolves will be sending a mixed U23 and U18 side to The Scholars Ground on Thursday April 13th with a 7.15pm kick off.

With a club record appearances of 573 (and counting), Slater began his career at Molineux as understudy to Joleon Lescott.

His career at Chasetown spans fourteen seasons at the club, broken only by signing professional terms for Port Vale before returning to us on loan in 2008.

Former manager Charlie Blakemore (himself a former triallist with Wolves, scoring for their Reserve team) was instrumental in the arrangement of the fixture and said, "I really appreciate Wolves doing this for Chris. It should make for a nice night for him and his family."

Blakemore added, "We have always had a close relationship with the Wolves after we trained at their facilities during our FA Cup run. We have also played several pre-season friendlies against them."

With Wolves not in action until the following evening (Good Friday) in the Championship it's the perfect opportunity for the Molineux faithful to watch their future players.
