It's back to last year on this day in history for a league cup tie.

Belper Town 2 Chasetown 4

Integro League Cup

Chasetown came from behind to progress in the Integro League Cup with four second half goals.

The Scholars started the first half quite well territorially without really threatening at goal and found themselves a goal behind when former Chasetown winger Alex Steadman converted a 16th minute penalty.

Belper went narrowly wide of the target with two efforts while Matt Curley cleared off the line as the hosts could have gone further ahead.

Despite those chances, Chasetown attacked with purpose and should have levelled before the interval. Skipper James Dance was sent tumbling inside the box but Nathan Rooney crashed his spot kick against the crossbar.

Chasetown thoroughly deserved their equaliser 8 minutes into the second half as Dance squeezed a shot past keeper Scott Low at his near post.

Five minutes later, the visitors were ahead as Mike Williams burst into the penalty area and drilled a shot across Low into the bottom corner.

Jack Langston extended the lead and took over again as Chasetown’s leading scorer with a neat finish from outside the box which left Low stranded in the middle of his goal.

Ruben Wiggin-Thomas gave Belper hope with a scrappy goal three minutes from time before Chasetown finally sealed the victory with the goal of the game. Williams bore down on keeper Low who hurriedly cleared to almost the half way line where Rooney, urged to shoot by the fans behind the goal, lobbed from distance, sailing narrowly under the bar to clinch a 4-2 win.
