Scott's thoughts on the season

7 months ago By Paul Mullins

The creative way of summarising the season (not that it matches the poetry of Jane Stuart)

Can I just start with saying what a fantastic football club we are involved in.

Honestly this has been a truly remarkable season.

As soon as I met the people in and around the club I knew that it was going to be a good fit for myself and my management team.

Starting off the season was extremely difficult but after an indifferent start we adapted very well and had a great last 4 months and finished very strong.

Eventually we got the players in that we wanted and they gelled quickly both on and off the pitch, to see the togetherness after our last game between the players and supporters bows very well for our future.

Realistically I always thought the lads were a year or two ahead of themselves, but it just goes to show with hard work and determination anything is possible.

We will again strengthen the squad for next season and be ready for another footballing journey.

Ending this season is only right that I thank all the people/volunteers who help keep this family football club going. Finally, to our fans old and new, the noise you make the distances you travel the support you give is amazing. My players and staff really appreciate all your efforts and I hope we have made you proud and we all look forward to seeing you in your numbers next season.

Where next?

Go West! The Evo-Stik League has announced the following, which means a change of league for the new season.
Good luck boys! A few (well more than a few) of our fans want to wish the lads good luck in tomorrow's play off semi-final.
