A football club's jobs are never done and a host of volunteers pitched in this morning to do some of the many jobs that have grown - literally - over the summer.
Club skipper Spencer Gunnell was among a dozen or so people to help out - taking grassroots football to another level by strimming back lots of the green stuff between the marquee and the perimeter fence.
Club chairman Mick Joiner, programme editor Lauren Lincoln and photographer Pamela Mullins were among some of the others that were designated a job this morning.
David Lincoln, Andrew Reed, Colin Faunch and Mark Prince (and probably some I've not been advised of) were among the working party.
