There were 18 defenders in the running with 50 or more appearances since 2008 and our all-time leading appearance man Chris Slater was head and shoulders above the rest with a massive 62% of the vote.

His nearest rival was left back Mark Branch who polled 12% of the votes while John Branch polled 9%.

Richard Teesdale with 6% was the next highest vote, giving us a complete back four to accompany winning goalkeeper Curtis Pond in the "Best Side of the Last 10 Years".
