Price returns but Lincoln end losing streak
After a scrappy first half the game came to life after the break with four second half goals.
The game took until the 25th minute for the first shot on target. Debutant Joe Thomas and Peter Till exchanged a quick one-two and Thomas’ shot was straight at Jake Turner.
Thomas went closer to breaking the deadlock just before half time with a fierce close range effort that Turner beat away for a corner.
The visitors hardly threatened the Chase goal in the first half but took the lead eight minutes after the break with Conner Robinson drilling a shot beyond returning keeper Ryan Price.
Midway through the second period the visitors doubled their lead as Jack McGovern bundled the ball home at the near post.
Chasetown responded immediately and full back Liam Holt burst forward and exchanged a pass on the edge of the box before beating Turner at his near post.
Out of nothing Chasetown almost levelled with a Rhys Thompson curler that came back off the post.
Turner then tipped an effort from Thomas over the bar as the Scholars pushed for an equaliser.
Lincoln added a fortuitous third as Price fired a clearance straight at McGovern after a poor back pass to him and the ball trickled into an unguarded net.
