*Sky Sports Geoff Shreeves caught up with new signing Tim Sandwell friday morning to find out just what it was like to be back in the game...*
Geoff - Hi Tim, First things first, whats it like to be back playing competitively again?
Tim - have to say it was a great feeling to be back playing the sport i love with a good bunch of lads. its been far to long and im just glad to be back playing again.
Geoff - did you find your first training session a shock to the system or was it a case of just getting back into it and not risking injury?
Tim - I guess you could say abit of both really, obviously you dont want to get injured on your first training back, but you dont want to be too laid back as you are still their to impress the gaffer.
Geoff - Well you obviously made a good first impression as he signed you right after the training session.
Tim - Yeah i wasnt exactly expecting to play this sunday and certainly wasnt expecting to sign straight away but i hinted to the gaffer that i could play if needed and i ended up being signed. Funny as i said that i would best suit a forward role and after about 5-10 mins somehow found my way at the back, so im hoping the gaffer doesnt play me in defense for sunday.
Geoff - Any minor knocks or injuries your suffering from your first training session ahead of sunday's game?
Tim - I thought i would be quite sore and have some minor knocks but honestly im 100% fit and ready to go.
Geoff - Now on to sunday's game, away to Elms Park Reserves. lost 4-0 to them at your ground earlier in the season, how much of an impact can you make towards the team in preventing this from happening again?
Tim - Well im hoping ill make a big one, as after all im here to score goals. They will be a tough test but i feel we are more than capable of beating them at their home ground.
Geoff - Finally score prediction for sunday?
Tim - 2-1 Chearsley
I'm surprised you got an interview from Geoff as he's had the right hump since we used his bobble hat to remove a dog turd from the penalty area in November.
