The 2018 Season finally starts on Saturday 28th with a game away at Blackheath. It comes only two weeks after the end of the indoor season, which the Club finished with a close defeat against FEWDS. CPCC were much more competitive this year, winning two games out of seven, and going close in another two. Ram was the pick of the players, scoring 149 runs and taking four wickets. Kev, Nick, Divya, Seb, Miles and Rup all played several games contributing runs wickets or fielding.

We welcome a few new players to the Club this year, including Amar and Andrew ; they passed their trials at the nets - they could stand unaided - and should be a great addition to the Club. They are both very useful bowlers and good chaps all round. Please make them very welcome. Club subscriptions are now due, so please pay the captains (Barry and Damien) or one of the Club Officers (Hilary, Nick, Guy or Kev). If you think you didn't pay last year, please check with Nick.

Finally, we've having a drive to get as many people as possible setting their availability for games using the tabs in the schedule part of the website. This is because we have quite a few players who work shifts now, and we want to make sure that as many people get at least one game each weekend. It also really helps the captains to plan. Please enter when you think you'll be around or away a few weeks in advance - you can change as you get nearer to the date. Have a great season.
