Membership - Eligibility

Cheltenham Civil Service Rugby Football Club (CCSRFC) is an affiliated member of the Cheltenham Area Civil Service Sports Association (CACSSA), and as such has a large number of members that are Civil Servants.

However, CCSRFC is an "open" club and membership is open to anybody!

CCSRFC currently run one senior womens team, three senior mens team and an occasional Vets team.

The mens 1st XV currently play in Gloucestershire 2 and the 2nds and 3rds play in the Gloucestershire Merit Leagues. The men's section is currently coached by the highly regarded Pete Curtis, with a variety of senior players providing assistance. A typical training session sees in excess of 30 players training.

The womens team, after a very successful innagural season, have just gained entry to the official RFU leagues. The women are coached by Pete Lodge and Paul Williams and a typical training session sees in excess of 25 players training.

The club is always keen to recruit new players (of any gender or ability) as it is the clubs ambition to increase the number of people playing, and enjoying rugby in the Cheltenham area.

CCSRFC prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere (players and their family members are often found down at the club) as well as the enjoyable, running rugby we play. So why not come and see for yourself!

Men's rugby training is held at the club on Tuesday's (7pm).

Womens rugby training is held at the club on Thursdays (7pm).
