Unwanted double for Service as 1sts and 2nds lose out

The 1stXV lost to a controversial last minute penalty at Bristol Aeroplanes who came out 24-22 winners. Two tries from Ollie Wilton and one from Donkey Bell plus a penalty and two convertions from Matt Branton had given Service a narrow lead, only for the referee to award the late penalty for offside after originally appearing to call play on. Positive news was the return of Marcus McGillion to the team and a man of the match award for Pete Lodge.

An inexperienced 2ndXV was outclassed by a good Dursley side shipping 60 points without return. Despite the scoreline, the commitment and effort by the Service youngsters was excellent throughout.
