Cheltenham man takes on 1,000 mile journey for charity
Wednesday, March 31, 2010, 11:55

CHRIS Ludlow is banking on helping heroes with an epic 1,000-mile bike ride.

The 26-year-old, who works for Cheltenham & Gloucester in Barnwood, will cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats for Help for Heroes, which supports the Armed Forces.

He decided to take on his challenge of a lifetime after being dared by his friends.

Chris, of Burton Street, Cheltenham, said: "I was watching the rugby with a group of friends when one of them said his brother was cycling around Italy.

"I said it wouldn't be that hard to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats and the rest was history.

"I'm really excited about doing it, but there's a bit of apprehension because I'll be on my own and I've never done something like this.''
