SPORTS FEST 2012
Sports Fest 2012 sponsored by EDF Energy is the first sports festival dedicated to celebrating and promoting Gloucestershire’s sports & activities.
Our aim is to create an exciting, enjoyable and affordable weekend of summer sporting fun for all ages and abilities. There are organised activities aimed at toddlers, juniors, teenagers, students, adults and seniors – everyone will find something to entertain themselves at the event. You will also be able to see some local professional sportspeople from the past and the present.
There really is something for everyone, whether you want to try something, watch or learn more. The arena is split into:
District Sports Cheltenham A-Z OF SPORTS & ACTIVITIES - which will include over 40 stands with various games from a golf putting green to a Lacrosse Hardest Shot Competition.
Intersport Cheltenham LIVE SPORT ZONE will include exhibition games, demonstrations and coaching.
Gloucestershire Echo DEMO MARQUEE will include displays followed by workshops.
South West Snooker Academy MARQUEE has a mixture of activities including a full sized snooker table with a team of world class players and coaches. Local cricket legend and artist Jack Russell will also have a selection of his art on show inside.
An events timetable will be published online in April.
