Cherry Hinton 'A' team took to the field for their first friendly of the season under new manager Jack Drain against a strong Milton 'A' side.

It was Milton who took an early lead through a looping free kick after 2-3 minutes. Cherries replied well and got there reward when a free kick from Jacob Bruges found the head of Alex Vasili who's header looped over the keeper to level the match. Just before half time Milton regained the lead when a through ball opened the defence and put the striker 1 on 1 with Dan in goal who could do nothing about the goal. Changes at half time with Izy Owen going in CB and the prolific Martin Prior coming on up top with the impressive Blake Maltby made a huge difference and the reward came after great build up play from Blake found Tom Searle who's shot flew in the top right corner from 18 yards out 10 minutes into the second half to level the scoring. After that Cherries took control with an effort from Blake brilliantly saved by the Milton keeper and Alex hitting the post, the chances kept coming but it was one of those days where the ball didnt want to go in the net. Milton then grabbed 2 quick goals at the end, one from a free kick and the other from a counter attack and the whistle when with the final score 4-2 Milton 'A' . A great performance and lots to take on to the next friendly.
