On Sunday we managed our first win over our old foes since 2005. Batting first, Jed dropped danger man Henry Capper before he had scored and was made to pay as the HH opener went on to make 74 before falling to Ridley's first ball. Wickets were shared between Scott, Tommo, Ridley and Peter as HH declared on a healthy 239-6.
In reply, Scott Myers, Mark's cousin, made his presence felt with a superb, if not controversial, 140 featuring 21 fours and 6 sixes - did he edge the ball or did he not? Who knows! An opening partnership of 196 in only 21 overs almost saw us through. 8 overs later it was all over as Paul finished on 86 not out and JH on 14 not out.
Only our second win of the season, but very satisfying to win so well.
